Low-emissions and better indoor air quality. The thinners used in water-based products is water, which is the safest choice in terms of both the environment and the painter. The process?

We make sure to remove all plug and light switch plates, and clean off all the layers of paint, which over a number of years starts to tarnish the appearance of the hardware

Cleaning and painting behind radiators seems to be a scarce occurrence, but with Casalinga Design, its a standard part of our process.

We also ensure to remove, clean and strip off the layers of built-up paint from window ventilation units, which again will start to diminish the quality of the decorative finish in a room when ignored.

Step 5: Silicone & Caulk

Removing old caulk is advisable but removing silicone is an absolute necessity as you cannot paint over silicone. Both sealants deteriorate after an extended period of time so we prefer to remove and replace sealants once the room has been painted to ensure a clean and crisp finish to the painting and decorating process.

The last step in the process prior to painting the room is to ensure that all plug plates, light switches, radiators and flooring is safely masked and protected. Depending on the project and method of applying the paint, this may include other items such as windows, woodwork and furniture too.
